Today's computing industry has gone somewhat smaller and quieter than its predecessor, and to deliver those features, the EmCORE-i612 3.5-inch mobile Celeron 400MHz miniboard with flat panel/CRT SVGA, audio and LAN is one the recent products being offered by Arbor Technology Corp.
[Fanless Function Tops List of Features]
The model is fanless when it is built around the ultra low-voltage Celeron with the low-voltage Pentium III Tualatin as an option. The 3.5-inch miniboard comes with access to Internet, flat panel/CRT display with LCD interface, 4 COM ports, 2 USB interfaces, 1 mini PCI socket extension, 1 CompactFlash (Type I/II supported), specially-designed DC outlet, and more.
With the Celeron 400MHz CPU, the voltage used is under 10 watts, thus reducing power consumption. The CPU comes with 100MHz of FSB and 256KB L2 cache. A single 5V power source is all you need for the operation. It ranges in operating temperature from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit).
[Two Essential Parts in this Model Include 2-second Booting and Small Size]
The model is designed in a way that is easy for system engineers to assemble and utilize. A chassis that goes with the system board is available upon request. An ordinary DC source with a 12~24V adapter is all you need for this model The power source of its 12V LCD panel can go along with power fluctuations, but the stabilization power of 5V is certain. The specially-designed function of a mini PCI socket can be expanded to include the feature of wireless LAN. Without a doubt, the EmCORE-i612 is mini enough for users to better handle their applications, so is its embedded Linux OS which makes operations easy for them.
[Further CPU Upgrade Comes Easy]
The CPU of the system mini board can be further upgraded to the PIII 933MHz type for faster operation. It surely supports a mini PCI interface, and includes a VGA that performs very well as far as the creation of graphs is concerned.
