Arbor in Midst of ESEC Show

Today's technologies cannot be made known wholly without proper exposures by way of such events as exhibitions, road shows, and more. To be part of this concept, Arbor Technology Corp. participated in the just-concluded ESEC Show, one of the four categorized shows held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 9 to 11.
Manning Arbor's booth was Edward Chang who is in charge of Japanese sales. According to Edward, the location of the company? booth (10-6) was easily seen as it was right by the entrance/exit area. During the three-day show period, Arbor was crowded with enthusiastic visitors getting to know more about its displays such as full- and half-size single board computers, PC/104 modules, panel PCs, Pentium 3 and 4 miniboards, ETX CPU modules, Box PCs, and more. Demonstrations of Arbor embedded Linux and WinCE were made available for those curious visitors.

Handouts like manuals and other promotional materials quickly disappeared in thin air as visitors streaming by the area picked up anything that they might lay hands on. Beside the handouts, buyer inquiry forms were given and filled out to better know what these visitors really required. All these forms were collected and meant to accommodate their needs after the show came to a close.About 10 out of these inquiries seem potential, said Edward.
One of the areas that need to be addressed is the use of language. The Japanese language should be employed in all displays in all future shows held in Japan. In some complicated areas, application diagrams should be accompanied to clearly show what they are for. Thus, the Japanese visitors can have a better grasp of what applications can be gotten when using this board or other products.

Overall, the Japanese exhibitors were nationalistic, displaying such wordings as "Products Made in Japan", a slogan meant to attract their compatriots. One thing was for sure, Arbor's displayed products stood out from the rest as they were considered special in a way that competition in these areas were scarce.
Arbor knows that the name of the game in all shows is product domination. And that is the ultimate reason why customer attraction comes in. This is the "beef" of the show. If you remove the beef, there is nothing left for the show; no matter how well the booth is decorated.
