Arbor Launches High Performance 64-bit Solution to Increase System Bandwidth and Efficiency
To meet the most demanding of heavy-duty network and graphics applications that require high bandwidth, speed and calculation capabilities, Arbor launches a series of 64-bit solutions to provide higher overall throughput for better system efficiency and double the data throughput over the same amount of time. As the high bandwidth functions such as Ultra2 SCSI, RAID, Gigabit Ethernet, and 3D graphics consume more bandwidth, the 64-bit PCI extensions and 66-MHz speed can provide a higher performance platform to better leverage these newer I/O technologies.
As the 32-bit device is limited to address data larger than 2 GB, the 64-bit computing is becoming a new way of increasing the bus bandwidth and the throughput in network and computer-telephony integration markets.
