Military Solution

The MIL-2000 and 3000 models have gone through some minor revisions and saw some addition to ensure their operation under harsh conditions. The following are the most eye-catching changes :
- Subzero -20°C operation
- LVDS on all models
- true 8-slot for extensions
- water resistant keyboard
Subzero Operation
The MIL Series can now be equipped with a heating pad. The heating pad draws its power from the main power supply and is applied to the backside of the CPU card to allow operation under very low temperatures. Similar heating pads are under development for add on cards though most add on cards have far lesser problems with low temperatures than CPU boards. Low temperature operation of the display is ensured by selecting high quality Sanyo flat panel displays. The lowest temperature under which the MIL Series can operate is -20° Celsius or -4° Fahrenheit.
Standard LVDS Interface
Low Voltage Differential Signalling is normally associated with applications where display and host are connected over distances of up to 10 meters. However its low noise emittance and its virtual noise immunity make LVDS excellently suited to be used there where connection of display and system can be subject to high noise levels. Now both MIL-3000 and MIL-2000 models standard use LVDS circuitry resulting in a very stable and clear picture even in the harshest environments.
Mousepad or Trackball
In addition to the standard keyboard with trackball, we now supply a water resistant version that includes a notebook like mousepad.
True 8-slot passive backplane expansion slots
With a minor modification of the main chassis we are now able to provide massive eight slot add-on expansion.
Up to four PCI, three ISA and two shared full-size ISA/PCI expansion slots are available. Sample order of both models will be available in mid of December. For more info, please contact our sales representatives at info@arbor.com.tw
